HEKventure T, Chemically Defined Medium for Transient Viral Vector and Recombinant Protein Production, w/o L-Glutamine
Description
The HEKventure T product line was developed to maximize transient expression in HEK 293 suspension cultures. It was developed by florabio AS, our expert partner in culture media development and optimization.
HEKventure T is a chemically defined, animal component-free, and hydrolysate-free medium for transient transfection of HEK293 cell lines in suspension. It was developed to enhance recombinant protein expression and viral vector production (e.g., adeno-associated virus (AAV) and lentiviral (LV) vectors). The medium is particularly suited for polymer-based transfection, such as with polyethylenimine (PEI), and transient viral vector expression.
Combined with HEKventure Transfection Reagents (HEKVT-K1, HEKVT-K2), which can be used to maximize transfection efficiency, the product lines offer a streamlined approach to process optimization.
Key Highlights:
- High Viability:
>90% viable cells over multiple passages with VCDs of up to 4 × 10⁶ cells/ml. - Consistently High Yields:
High protein yields, particularly for viral vector production. - Optimized for PEI Transfection:
optimized ionic strength, specifically formulated to avoid interactions with PEI and DNA.
